Biscuit poori / Goba poori - Tea time snack

One of the kind tea snack, which is not so popular across the country, but has priceless taste. You would love it's taste with chai or coffee.
A very simple recipe and following this recipe will not fail you.

Servings - 30 to 40
Preparation time - 10 mins
Cooking time - 20 mins

Ingredients

Maida - 1 cup
Pepper - 1 tbsp, crushed
Oil for frying and dough
Salt to taste

Steps to prepare

1. In a vessel, mix maida, salt and crushed pepper.
2. Add oil little by little until a crumbly texture is reached when rubbed between palms.
3. Then add water and form a semi soft dough, keep it aside and rest for at least half an hour.
4. After half an hour, knead again and form balls of it.
5. 2 ways to make pooris to fry 
    -  Divide dough into 4 or 5 parts and roll it using a      
       rolling pin on a flat surface to ½ cm thickness. 
       Using a small bowl or cookie cutter, cut in round 
       shapes and keep aside.
     -. Make small balls out of dough and using roti
        presser, press to ½ cm thickness and keep aside.
6. Prick these ready to fry pooris using a fork, so that they don't puff in oil.
7. In medium hot oil, fry all the pooris to golden brown.
8. Store pooris in an airtight container, it'll last a week or two.

Tips

1. Wheat flour can be used instead of maida.
2. Pepper can be added according to taste.
3. Sufficient amount of oil is necessary to get crispy and smooth pooris.
