Red capsicum soup

Apart from using it to add colour to dishes, red and yellow capsicums are not so widely used. The capsicums turn red when they are left in the plant after it turns green and then yellow. It has a light sweet flavour to it. I don't know if this particular recipe exists anywhere, this is my way to use the red variant.

It is generally good to use a different flavoured vegetable together while making soups, we should also take care of colour of the soup. So, here i use tomato to retain the red colour and give it a sour taste.

1. Wash and neatly dry red capsicum and tomato.

5. After all sides are roasted, shift both of them to a bowl of water and peel the skin off.
6. Cut them roughly and grind along with pepper and cinnamon.
7. Bring the ground mixture to a boil while adding salt and sugar. If cinnamon was not added for grinding, you can add cinnamon powder now.
